Brief Answer:
Can take, if kidney functions are normal.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
No, fruits and curd don't directly cause any harm in case of Prostatomegaly.
But yes, if Prostatomegaly is causing obstructive nephropathy , that is kidney damage (rise in Serum Creatinine and Serum Pottasium levels) then fruits and fruit juices are restricted.
If the kidney functions are normal, one can normally consume fruits and curd.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Hi,
thanks.

Current Serum Potassium is 4.4 mEq/L and Creatinine is 1.2.

That means there should be no problem in consumption of fruits and curd.

May I know how these affect in Prostatomegaly with impaired kidney functions.

Brief Answer:
By raising potassium levels.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
With your current reports you can consume fruits and curd.
Fruits and fruit juices contains high level of pottasium in them , so in persons with Kidney involvement and raised potassium levels, intake of fruits can raise potassium to life threatening levels. So we advise patients not to consume them.
Curd is unrelated to prostate issues to the best of my knowledge.
If you have any further query please ask me.
