Are Delayed Pregnancy, Headache And Vomiting Signs Of Pregnancy?

Question: Hi! My girlfriend had missed her period for the month of December and she is worried that she might be pregnant. We had sex last Oct. 16 (within her Fertile week) and she said she had her menstruation last Nov. 2. Three days prior to her scheduled period (Dec. 1), she had experienced headaches followed by an urge to vomit. She was also under stress a week prior to her period due to personal concerns. Pre-menstrual symptoms (e.g. swollen breasts) are not present except for acne and pimples on her face.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy, stress or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism.
Usually if periods with good flow have occurred after intercourse, then the chances of pregnancy are almost nil, however some patients do get periods after pregnancy in early gestation, it is known as placental bleeding.
I will suggest her to get a urine pregnancy test to confirm.
If negative, then she can safely wait for the periods as the delay in that case will be more likely due to stress.
