Hi, Yes this is possible. Please drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration as dehydration increases sickling and take a pain killer to decrease the pain. Also see your doctor as soon as possible as sometimes there is a condition called vasoocclusive crisis where the blood vessels are blocked by the sickled cells and need urgent treatment. Take care.
