Will Wound With 2mm Deep Heal On Its Own?
My sister's boyfriend cut himself with a box knife about 2 and a half hours ago. Since he did it purposefully on the wrist, we don't want my grandparents to know but I think it needs stiches. It's gaping open, close to 2inches long and at least 2mm deep. It took an hour and a half (accoding to my sister) for the bleeding to stop and he started to get sick by the time I got there. He's fine now, the bleeding has stopped, but the wound is still gaping open. Do we need to take him to the doctors for stitches or will it heal on it's own?
