Will Cetapin SR Help In Reducing Weight?

Hello. my doc suggested me to take cetapin SR 500mg once in a day after dinner for 15 days then increase to twice a day for 15 days and then report her regarding my health and how much weight I reduced. I would like to know in a month how much weight will I reduce. I follow proper diet as in no carbohydrates no sugar and I exercise daily. With following my diet and exercise in a month how much weight will I reduce taking this tablet as well.? Thanks alot

Hello there,
Thank you for asking us a question at HCM. Cetapin SR/XR is a drug called Metformin. This drug is usually used in diabetic patients to control sugars and alongwith that it helps in some weight loss like about 1-3 kgs. It would have helped to know a few things before I give my opinion:
-your age,
-gender,
-weight and
-whether you are a diabetic or not
- If you are a female and having any trouble with periods.

To answer your question Metformin and diet plus exercise should help you lose 2kgs weight approximately. But each individual is different and it depends on your personal efforts.
Continue your diet and exercise and you have been prescribed the right dose of Metformin.
