Why Do I Have A Neck And Jaw Pain After A Passed Off Migraine Headache?

Hi I had a migraine or tension headache for about a week, as soon as I thought my pain was over I got a raw sensation in my throat that lasted for about a week and a half which only felt better when I ate or drank. After this I have neck and jaw pain, and also a ear sensation that comes and goes. What could this be?

Welcome to HCM!

Your symptoms can be due to two possibilities-

1. due to a part and parcel of neurological symptoms of migraine , which are notorious that they can linger on for some days even after headache goes away.

2. can be due to simultaneous throat infection: as there is raw sensation, neck and jaw symptoms, and ear sensations. May be the headache happened due to same...

It will be good to get blood counts done, blood pressure checked, and throat examined. if this is ruled out, you may need to see a neurologist ( he may ask for MRI. brain ) to rule out organicity.

Hope the reply is useful
please feel free to ask more questions for clarifictaion
