Why Am I Losing Balance And Fall While Walking And Standing?

I am a male, 77, and periodically lose my balance and fall when I am walking, standing or getting up from a chair. When I fall it can be either forward or to either side. There is NO dizziness. It can be several days to a couple of years between episodes. I received a clean bill of health from a cardiologist. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Problems of imbalance can occur due to problems in the autonomic nervous system. Kindly consult a neurologist and you can get Autonomic function tests done to rule out any diseases (orthostatic hypotension) causing an imbalance in sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system.

Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
