Should I Visit The Doctor For Chest Pain And Breathlessness?

When I’m laying down on my back, sometimes I get this pain that feels like my lungs are closing and it hurts to breath. It’s not chest pains but close to the back, in the middle.I want to know what it could be before I got to the ER and get tests done.

Hello,

We have to rule out possible cardiac causes like angina even though it is unlikely.
Better to consult a cardiologist and plan for an ECG.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
