What Is The Treatment For The Sudden Black Out Of Eyes?

Hi, I have a friend who lost his eyesight (almost 99%) all of a sudden nine years ago when he was 20. Initially he was getting headache and nausea and sweating regularly. But at present (ever since he lost his eyesight) he doesn t seem to have any of such complaints and his eyes are looking normal externally. No other complications like BP and Diabetics and is fully healthy except for the eyesight. He often tells that he experiences a kind of sparks in his eyes. How can he be treated? He is from southern India. can he get back his eyesight? Can any ophthalmologist suggest us how to proceed?

before commenting one should know the reason. such thing can happen in central retinal artery blockage. it is not mentioned whether it is one eye or both eye. this problem can be diagnosed at this stage. For it nothing can be done now.
