Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,
I read carefully your concerns and understood your query.
Usually it needs 4 weeks to improve the symptoms after starting metimazole, of course if the dose is correct.
The improvement is seen during the first 2 weeks.
There are cases were the over active thyroid is transitory and it needs no treatment, in these cases the TPO antibodies are high.
So it would be better to see the exams ( you can attach them) and give you a more specific answer regarding your diagnosis and treatment.

Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
