What Is The Treatment For Difficulty In Sleeping?

I have a son going on 18 that is not able to sleep at night. This has been going on for quite some time. We are at our wits end with it. My son typically falls asleep around 2am and gets up at 6. He is up crying sometimes. He will not take our advice, ie bedtime routine, no chocolate, no work out before bed. We do not have Psychiatric coverage on our health care. I was looking for a Dr. specializing in teen health. We would have to pay for visit.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Dear User,
Your son need to undergo a detailed psychiatric evaluation because sleep disturbance is a common symptom for a wide range of psychiatric disorders. You may ask your son whether he often feels anxious, depressed; what kind of thought he has in his mind these days. You might get back to us with these details. May be we might be able to help your son.
