What Is The Remedy For The Severe Sweating In Hands And Feet?
I have overly sweaty hands and feet. They have been like that for as long as I can remember.. I ve tried drinking a lot of water but it doesn t help. It s gotten to the point where it is affecting my school work.. I can take notes without soaking my paper and ruining it. What should I do!?
Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM. Palmoplantar hyperhidrosis is quite embarrassing condition, which is often idiopathic. But, metabolic and neurologic disorders need to be ruled out. You should consult your local doctor for further evaluation and management. There are diverse treatment options including local (topical Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate 20%,boric acid, tannic acid, resorcinol etc) and systemic (anticholinergic medications) therapy, iontophoresis, botulinum toxin type A, sypathectomy (for recalcitrant cases) etc. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Your doctor will recommend you the one which would seem most appropriate. Underlying disease if any needs to be corrected. For any further query, please write back to us. Regards. Dr. Kaushik
