What Is The Raised Blood Vessel That Appears On Armpits?

In my right armpit there is a long hard slender object such as a bone or blood vessel that appears to be out of place. When I raise my arm it is visible under the skin going from the front of the armpit at the arm, angularly to the back of the armpit at the body. There is some discomfort but not pain. There is nothing similar in the other armpit.
