What Does Pain In The Shoulders And Arms Indicate?

I am an 82 year old woman in good health. I have pain in both shoulders and arms. I have consulted a shoulder and arm surgeon here in Atlanta and he ordered an MRI. It showed loss of cartilage. He recommended surgery (no surprise there; if you ask a surgeon, I believe 9 times out of 10 that s what he/she will recommend). I want to avoid surgery, as I live alone and the rehab part would be daunting. I m wondering what non-surgical steps would be available. Since I also need knee surgery (had one knee replaced several years ago), and now both arms/shoulders are painful, I want to avoid surgery if possible. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hello,

The rapid heartbeat does not sound to be due to antibiotic consumption. As you have BP medicines going on, heart rate must be affected by cardiac issues. Immediately visit a family physician and get EKG done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
