My primary Dr. Looked at results of an MRI of foot & ankle! I 'm a 70 year old who fell down the last four steps on Dec. 10, swelling & extra sentativety is still previlant & painful . He wants me keep leg elavated with ice packs at 20 minutes intervals.Do you agree?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I agree with this if you are able to do movements at your joint. The swelling/pain are due to effusion and it subside with time. Elevation helps in fastening the process.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
