I have been developing pain in the back of my head today. It feels like I slammed my head into something, but I didn t. The pain is increasing as the night goes on. I have blood pressure, I take 200 mgs metoprolol/day. I also take simvastatin for cholesterol

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. You can get head ache when your blood pressure is high and even on low . So you should get a proper therapy to maintain a normal blood pressure level. For that you should have a regular BP checking regular medication and follow up with your physician. The reason of your head ache can b due to not properly controlled BP by metaprolol or excess lowering of that. In case the medication not suiting it should be changed to Angiotensin converter blockers or diuretics or calcium channel blockers or adjustment in dosage. Hope this may help you.
