What Could Cause Pain In The Finger Tips And Bloodshot Eyes In An 83-year-old?

I was recently in hospital and was Diagnosed with a allergy to the antibiotics they had put me on for infection after gall bladder surgery. Since then I have had trouble with my finger tips being painful . . even wakes me at night at times. It is not constant and will go away for a spell but comes back. This happens several time a day. Also eyes are bloodshot but no discharge or itchy eyes. I have no fever and no other symptoms. What could this be? I am 83 years old.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Seems issue with a systemic problem either via inflammatory response affecting microcirculation, platelet-mediated effects giving bloodshot eyes.

A detailed study of relevant investigations of blood is very much essential to proceed here for further guidelines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
