As per new treatment guidelines for typhoid, typhoid needs to be treated with combination of drug rather than single drug. This is due to increasing cases of resistant salmonella bacteria causing typhoid. Same is your case. You need antibiotics cefuroxime/cefixime with azithromycin twice a day for 7-10 days. Talk with your physician in this regard as it is a prescription drug. Eat small frequent meals for decreased appetite. Have soft semi solid well cooked food that is easy to digest. Adequate rest and hydration will help in faster recovery.
Hope I answered your query. Wish you good health.
