What Causes The Pain On The Left Side Of My Head?

Hi my name is jason I m a 27 year old male, who is 6 4 and bout 350 pounds. I have always had some kind of headache for most of my life. Most of the time I just take some kind of OTC meds and it would just go away, but as of late like over the last month they just wont go away. I tried everything and found that Goody powders worked for like bout 3 to 4 hours and then they would come right back, so I was taking like 4 powders a day at weeks at a time. Now nothing works, not even a shot from when I went to the ER room. It s this sharp pounding pain on the left side of my head. Also my left ear hurts and I always have it when I wake up in the morning. So can you please help me.

Hi,

On the face of what you mentioned, migraine is one possibility. The other features of migraine are that- headache episodes are usually associated with a trigger factor. Headache is often associated with nausea and worsens on exposure to lights and sounds. If these are the features in your case, then you might be put on anti-migraine drugs and observed for response.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
