What Causes Swollen Pouch Beneath Stitches Post Surgery?

I ve had dissolvable stictches by my eyes since a cosmetic procedure and there is a swollen pouch beneath the dissolvable stitches. It s been 4 weeks since the surgery and the doctor says it will all disappear eventually, but the time line keeps changing. Also, my left eye lid has been swollen since he surgery and I m in an antibiotic as a double protection measure from my doctor, so I know there is not an infection, but will the puffiness last? I use cold eye patches for 10-20 minutes, take anti-inflamatories since I got clearance from the doctor, but nothing seems to help the swollen eyelid or pocket under the dissolvable stitches go down. Is there anything to worry about? Or is this normal. If normal, how long does it take for the body to absorb the stitches and for the swelling to subside?
