General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your description it seems like something called cellulitis. Since the infection subsides, antibiotics showing good response so additional supportive measures will provide optimum results. Try to keep the limb elevated using a pillow underneath. Apply gluceryl magsulf ointment. Anti inflammatory agents like seratiopeptidase can be tried. Generally swelling subside in a couple of days, if it persist consult a general surgeon and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
