I had a millia on my upper cheek under my eye socket extracted and I guess it went really deep. By the time it was done it was bleeding heavily and my eye wad starting to swell. That was yesterday and now my eye is completely swollen shut. How long will this take to go down?
Hello It seems from the history that you are having swelling of the eyelids post milia removal. This indicates inflammatory or reactionary edema of the eyelids. As the skin of the eyelids is loose it can get distended easily in inflammation of the surrounding structures. Hence no need to worry, this will decrease and the treatment is by cold compression and by use of antiinflammatoy drugs. This will usually resolve by 3-5 days.
Thank you
