What Causes Sticky Discharge And Swelling In Wound?

my dad had a injury in base of middle finger (leg) while kicking d byke...severe laceration of skin occured....and after that daily following routine dressing...healing occured... but from some area while dressing yesterday i noticed sticky discharge and that finger is little swollen...is anything dangerous and that wound occured 20 days back...but daily we are following dressing with betadinesolution and ointment...

Dear, U need not have to worry. Some infections take time to heal. Then also if it is bothering you then just check: If your father took antibiotic course, then just once do Blood sugar level analysis, as some times raised sugar levels cause delay in healing. If he didnot take any antibiotic course then consult your GP & start some antibiotic.
