What Causes Soft Bowel Movement While On Amoxi-Clav?
My client is allergic to Cipro and has been prescribed Amox-Clav, amoxicillin/clavulanic Acid Suspension.Do I need to be concerned--other than the fact of the many dangers of death, skin, bowel problems. She started on 11ml 2x a day on Friday evening and today had large soft stool and they do promise diarrhea. She is 98 and is highly sensitive. Thanks

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I understand your concern.
As far as my knowledge is concerned Amoxiclave causes diarrhea. The Clavulunate in Amoxiclave is responsible for diarrhea. Plain Amoxiciline along with Metronidazole and capsule Vibact will help.
But you have not mentioned why you started Amoxiclave.
