What Causes Slurring Of Speech In A Electrolyte Imbalance Patient?

Gud evening sir, myself a pg 1 student of pharmacology frm kmc, manipal. My father who is 68 yrs old hvn electrolyte imbalance frm last 2 weeks, with hiccupping, frm last two days he was unable to speak, then he admitted in icu of a local nursing home in patna. 2day they shifted them in general ward. Now he is speaking but mostly senseless talks, his ct scan rprt is normal. but he has hyponatremia n hpyokalemia, what should i do ?? Wheather i should prefer any neurologist or not. Please help me sir. 2 weeks before his bp become 210/110 but nw he has normal bp.

It could be hypertensive encephalopathy with cerebral salt wasting syndrome.Get an MRI brain .hyponatremia and hypokalemia may be due to cerebral salt wasting .correct sodium and potassium levels.Maintain his bloodpressure.you should definetly consult neurophysician to treat any global aphasias.
