You are suggested to get urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done. You will be treated with a course of specific antibiotics that will work to treat infection. Take adequate water and fluids to flush out bacteria out of the urinary system. Drinking 8 ounces of cranberry juice a day may help prevent recurrent UTIs. Maintain proper hygiene, take regular bath to keep the genital area bacteria free, women should wipe front-to-back after using the bathroom. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a Urologist since you get the feeling of incompletely emptying the bladder,. Inability to empty the bladder can be indicative of blockage, blockages can be caused by bladder cancer, urethral cancers and gynecologic problems / cancers. It may need immediate medical attention.
