Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from nocturnal epileptic episodes. Bleeding into the brain is a risk factor for seizure episodes. You haven't described anything about how you are immediately awake from these spells or what your partner says to you or how they describe you at the time you feel you've just had a tremulous spell.

My advice is to see a neurologist or epileptologist (seizure specialist) because you will certainly need at least an EEG of the head, if not an MRI of the brain as well a good history from your partner as to what may be going on in bed while you feel as if you're shaking.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dariush Saghafi
