What Causes Severe Pain In The Vein After The Withdrawal Of Blood?

Hi, a few days ago I had blood drawn and I have small deep veins and they had to stick me a few times and on the last stick she found a good vein but it really hurt and I was experiencing shock like symptons that are going down my arm towards my wrist, I do know that when they were drawing the blood she kept lifting the needle up and down when the blood flow slowed down...I have never experienced this before but it happens now when ever i move my arm or put pressure like picking something up or grasping the banister to climb stairs or just bending it, do you have any idea what this might be?
