What Causes Severe Muscle Loss And Fatigue In Elderly Males?

severe fatigue, poor balance, weight loss, muscle loss. my father s symptoms. he just turned 90. he has had several dr. visits for problems but never any helpful results. he still drives, rides his bike when he can, and golfs once/twice a week. but i can see where he is just getting weaker and weaker. had his thyroid check thinking that could be part of the problem but it seems to be fine.

Well come to HCM
I appreciate your concern for asking your father, it seems to be the age related phenomenon and may not be the actual illness if he is doing well, some it may cause the weakness and for that great care need to be taken for diet, high protien diet, leafy vegetables, plenty of drinking water may helps him lot, complete medical examination is must just to rule out the silent features or feature of any geriatric illness, else it is nothing to worry, hope this answer helps you, your further query will be well come
