I have not experienced this kind of headache before. I have no other symptoms, vision muscular movement, balance are all normal. I am 75 years old and take a 20 mg atorvastatin pill and a 82 mg aspirin Dailey.Should I be concerned?Thank you Alfred
Hi sir, I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Pulsating headache over temple area can be due to many causes.
Migraine is the most common cause of unilateral pulsating headache.According to your clinical history migraine may be most probable reason. Other relatively rare causes are, (1) temporal arteritis. (2) cluster headache (3) arterial dissection (4) venous thrombosis (5) intracranial lesion Some cases no cause can be found out and termed as idiopathic. There is no relation between headache and Statin pills. From your history you have no other symptoms so Im of the opinion that you have nothing to worry. If headache persists or becomes severe then you should see your doctor for an assessment.
Wishing you good health.
