What Causes Redness In The Left Eye?

My left eye has been bothering me all morning so just a few minutes ago, I m afraid I rubbed it too much/hard and now it s very red and there s an obvious difference when I pull down the eye; it seems like there s an extra film I can see AND feel. I rinsed my eyes out with cold water, applied lubricant eye drops (Refresh Tears) and Visine but it s not getting any better. In addition, there are excessive tears

it can be a foreign body in pulpabral conjuctiva or viral conjunctivitis. rinse your eyes with clean and fresh water. apply ofloxacin .3%eye drop 6 hourly continue refresh eye tear monitoring is to be done and after proper diagnosis treatment can be recomanded.
