hello my son has had a red section in the inside corner of his right eye for maybe a week or so and he says it does not hurt. He does not itch it and it is not watery. He also says he can still see clearly. I did just put a drop of clear eyes in his eye and the redness slightly went away but is still there. I plan on taking him to the doctor on Monday, I don t believe its pinkeye. what could it be and could it be serious?
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your son is having a red spot in the corner of the eye. Since there is no pain, discharge, blurring of vision....., it appears like subconjunctival hemorrhage. This usually follows eye injury, however it can occur following rubbing of the eyes and sometimes spontaneously also. No treatment is generally required and it will resolve over 1-2 weeks.
Hence I advice you to consult your ophthalmologist for examination and confirmation of diagnosis. Hope the information is helpful to you.
Thank you With regards
