What Causes Recurring Lump Behind Ears While Eating?

What causes a lump on my right cheeks just behind my ears at least twice a week when I am eating anything, it stays swollen and a little hard to touch for about an hour or longer. About the size of an apricot, I could be eating the softest food and still it happens no warning when it will appear. This has been going on now for over a year I'm a little concern what could cause it???

Thanks for the query to HCM. I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns.
Cause and plan of Treatment-
In my opinion on the given data,you seem to have Sialolithiasis of the Parotid duct (Stone in the Parotid Duct)with duct obstruction causing parotid swelling below the ear.Currently as the obstruction is partial,it some times occurs and troubles when the obstruction increases intra-parotid pressure,which decompresses in an hour or so.
Surely this is not normal and you urgently need to consult ER Surgeon who would take corrective steps.Hope this would resolve your issues.Act fast.
So keep cool and Consult your ER Surgeon, if need be , who would treat it accordingly.
So don't build up wrong concepts and create more psychic complications in you which would increase risks and costs to you, but just ask a query to HCM and be comfortable to resolve your health issues.
