Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* Causes of urine infection (moderate UTI as per the range of pus cells) vary as inadequate hydration, excess perspiration, calculus in urinary system, sexual contact or others.
* Apart from drinking plenty of liquids, I suggest to avoid much spices, non veg stuffs known to provoke the condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Pus cells in urine simply suggest UTI(Urinary tract infection). Normal range is around 4-6 pus cells. No need to worry as most cases resolve well with antibiotics. You can start a short course of antibiotics like Norflox for five to seven days. Drink plenty of water. If the pus cells persist after one week consult a physician and get a urine culture done. You can drink cranberry juice and it act as a urinary antiseptic and prevent UTI.
