Hi, I just received a call from my doctor saying that I had protein in my urine. I am a non insulin dependant diabetic. Could this be a shift in my diabetes? My doctor would like me to see a nephrolgist. My A1C has risen from 6.8 to 7.2 in the past 3 months and I am getting concerned as I lost my mother to disbetes.
