What Causes Positive Result For UTI After Taking Antibiotics?
After some blood in my urine (which went away), I took a home diagnostic test for UTI. The test strip showed negative for Nitrites but positive for Leukocytes.So I went to see a doctor who gave me another UTI test. It did not show very much infection, but he gave me anti-biotics anyway. After taking them for 6 days I took another home test and the test strip still shows positive for Leukocytes

Presence of Leukocytes in urine even after taking antibiotics is due to inflammation of the mucosa of either bladder or ureter and it will be reflected for couple of days .
If one does not have any urinary symptom there is nothing to be worried for.
Just go on drinking more water .
