Persistent headache causing insomnia is to be taken seriously . There may be some space occuping lesion in brain..or it may be because of stress and anxiety . We need detail history and complete physical examination to reach diagnosis . You should consult a physician or neurologist for that..They can advice imaging studies of brain such as MRI or CT scan to rule out any structural cause.delay in this can aggrevates the symptoms as normal sleep is very important for normal health . So you discus with your doctor as soon as possible . Hope this will help.
