What Causes Painless Spot Behind The Tooth On Gum Line?

When flossing there is a spot behind my tooth right on the gumline that hurts. It doesn't hurt to eat, or brush....only when I floss....it's like an open nerve or something. Or like a cut? It's been there for months. I don't see anything though. What could this be?

Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,

According to your clinical symptoms i suppose that you might have developed a cut in the gingiva while flossing, i would suggest you not to floss the area for a week or two, apply Dologel oral ointment topically over the affected area at home take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses.

Take care!
