What Causes Pain In Vein On Foot After Injury?

My daughter dropped a full travel mug on my foot weeks ago. Hit my medial malleolus. Had minimal swelling and some bruising due to damage to overlying vein. Hurt for a few days but then fine . Now my ankle is throbbing at the medial malleolus no gross swelling noted but there is an irregularity in the vein at that spot since original injury. Any thoughts on what is causing pain now?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected Sir/ madam, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
What is causing pain now is unhealed tissue / scarring giving rise to stretching sensation and irregularity in the vein at that spot since original injury.
Nothing to worry at this juncture, just apply ice 3-4 times a day for 2-3 days nothing else is required to be done actively.
Thanks for using Health care Magic.
Regards
Wishing you fast and speedy recovery from the same.
