What Causes Lump On The Shin?

I have a lump on the left side of my shin and its mor noticible when i run, t doesnt hurt or anything all it does is stay in that one spot. could it be a blood clot or something else? I am 24, a male and 167 pounds and I jog 15to 20 miles a week on a tread mill.
