What Causes Lump In Groin Area?

I have a hard lump in my groin area about 3-4cm. It is painless and I am able to lift the mass itself. I m not sure how long it has been there, because it is painless it went almost unnoticed, but it has been right at 3 weeks since I noticed it. The skin on raised area is also a darker color than surrounding area. What is the most likely cause?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

If I were your doctor, considering the hard consistency of the lump, I would refer you to the ER of a hospital, where more clinical examination and related investigations like cbc, blood sugar, and a FNAC of the swelling could be performed to know the exact diagnosis. Further management would depend on the investigation reports, specially an FNAC.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
