my mum has been taking citrolpram 20mg for 5 days and is having a terrible time with it . it has got to a stage now where she dosent eat and is too afraid to go out of the house . can you tell me is this normal, oh and she is sleeping all the time.

I think drug has not been working or suitable for her.
I would suggest you to ask your doctor to change the drug.
I think the problem has not been diagnosed correctly. The fear to go outside the home can be due to anxiety disorder or psychotic disorder. I would advice you to take her to a psychiatrist for second opinion.
