What Causes Itching, redness And Swelling In Eyelids?

For the past week my eye lids have been ichy red and swollen. I have used vaseline, aquaphor and eucerin lotion and have not seen any improvements and this morning I woke up to see my right eye now has a broken blood vessel. It doesn't hurt the eye ball itself now should I be worried or is this just alleregies? If this isn't common what type of doctor should I see? (general or an eye doctor?)

Hello,

The symptoms of itching, redness, and swelling in the eyelids indicate inflammation of the eye in the form of blepharitis. The treatment is by use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs in the form of eye drops and eye ointment. You need to consult your eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
