What Causes Intermittent Headache?

I was bike riding 6 days ago. I fell and landed on my head on the right side. I hit is hard. I did not lose conscienceness or was dizzy. I completed my ride. I rode the next day. I have had a headache that comes and goes. I saw my dr Tues. He did not feel CT was required. He said he would not be surprised if I had a headache for two weeks. Thoughts?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

First of all, after a head trauma, you should put under a medical supervision for 24 hours, then if there was a deterioration of conscious or severe headache, you should do an CT scan to exclude hemorrhage. Then you should have a bed rest for 3 days and take a pain killer if necessary. So, you should take a bed rest for three days and take a pain killer if necessary, but if you did not respond, you would do an CT brain. Second, if you have hypertension or any other systemic illnesses, you should take your treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mustafa, Neurologist
