What Causes Heart Murmur And Palpitations While On Doxacycline?

I have a heart murmur, 70 years old, on high blood pressure meds but blood pressure has run low (116/65) since loosing 40 pounds by choice until recently. I was on doxacycline for 6 weeks and at the end of the 6 weeks I has some episodes of a rapid heart rate ( over 100). Since off the antibiotics, I have had a few other episodes of a rapid heart rate. Should I see a doctor.

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

The rapid heart beat does not sound to be due to antibiotic consumption. As you have BP medicines going on, heart rate must be affected by cardiac issues. Immediately visit a family physician and get EKG done.

Thank you for contacting us. Hope this clarifies your concerns.

Take care
