What Causes Heart Beat And Rushing Noises In Head?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...My mother who is 89 years old has been having heart beat and rushing noises in her head. Sometimes is stops and then begins again. Her mastoid bone was sore for a while. She has had teeth pulled in that jaw area and was in a minor car accident about 4 months ago. These noises won't go away.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Need to get her blood pressure checked. 2. High blood pressure along with tachycardia or associated anxiety can cause palpitations along with increased blood pressure, which can give symptoms like rushing noises in head. 3. Also Eustachian tube partial obstruction can present with rushing noises. You can ask her to use a decongestant along with valsalva maneuver to clear the eustachian tube. 4. Get her blood pressure checked. Ask her to relax. More details necessary for further opinion. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
