What Causes Headaches After A Cervical Injury?

Was in a car accident and MRI of the cervical spine C4-5 indicate moderate right para central/ posterolateral disc osteophytic ridge partially effacing the anterior subarachnoid space.neural forming are patent. At the level C5-6 there is a small posterior disc osteophytic ridge. Neural foramina are patent. Could this be the cause of daily headaches usually the back of head, neck soreness and burning/ numbness in shoulders. Was only prescribe anti- inflammatory but it is not helping. It s been five months since the accident! Never had these issues before. Any alternative treatment?
