Hello,

Judging from your description I would say that it is most likely a viral infection which justifies your symptoms.

It is usually transitory, should improve with time. In the mean time should take plenty of liquids, Vitamin C supplement as well as over the counter pain killers like Ibuprofen.

Only symptoms do not improve over the course of the week (some fatigue and mild muscle pain may last even more) then some more investigation through blood tests would be advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olsi Taka, Neurologist
