What Causes Headache In The Afternoon?

I have had long term headache problems, inherited, sinus? migraine? get them daily in afternoons, sometimes they don t get better without lots of aids like showers, ibuprofen, ...also anti anxiety meds /relaxers help sometimes, sometimes migraine meds help. It is now ( and has been for long time ) interfering hugely with my life. I am looking for a good place to go to get real help. A place that knows how to diagnose and treat my headaches. I honestly recall always suffering from them. am now 55. I am finally seeking real help.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

This seems a case of a chronic daily headache. Most probably due to tension type headache, but other causes like migraine or medication overuse headache must be considered as well. For that reason a thorough history of your headaches and medications is needed in order to establish a treatment plan, can't be done from this provided account alone. It is a chronic condition which will probably need repeat follow-up visits. So I suggest if you want to finally tackle the issue seriously to consult and be regularly followed by a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
