What Causes Headache And Leg Pain After Having Abdominal CT Scan?
I recently had a CAT scan abdominal using the drinking contrast. My blood pressure went high 181/98. Two hours later, I had a very bad headache. I was resting on the couch and I passed out - out for about two hours. When I came to, I could not lift my legs to get up to call for help. I passed out again. Woke an hour later. Legs were fine. What happened? I am concerned that an emergency situation could put me in danger should they choose to do the procedure (drinking/intervenous) without knowing my history.
Your symptoms seems to be due to hypertension.. Your blood pressure is very high .. It comes under urgency situation... So get it corrected by intravenous drug injection like sod.nitroprusside....
Your blood pressure then regularly checked... Then for hypertension antihypertensive drug like enalapril or amlodipin needs to be started...
Low salt diet taken...
Your further treatment also depend on your CT report....
Consult physician without delay for physical and neurological examination...
Take care ....
